Angie Bjornson, Certified Human Resources Professional, established a Recruitment Consulting and Career Coaching practice in 2006, after 17 years working with learning services, search firms and business, technology and health care vocational training associations.
As a Business / Team Coach she partners with organizations, teams and individuals to help them adapt and re-invent their approach to strategies, skill building and talent development, to enrich their working lives. Solutions may include a combination of coaching and training to benefit People and Organizations.
Always with a customer-focus, Angie builds trust as a partner with colleagues and
management. Her service extends to communities including Human Resources Professional Association and contributing resources to organizations
which sponsor children, including Kids Help Phone and include mentoring with the Chang School of Management / Ryerson University.
Angie partnered with Senior Management at CDI Career Development Institutes, Ltd., supporting change in the business, technology and health care sectors. This included establishing an HR department, determining priorities in marketing the team to meet business
realities while providing service excellence to
five regions and the Corporate Center, Launched programs: On Boarding, Recruitment - ATS and re branding and candidate assessment and selection.
At The Institute for
Computer Studies, (Ministry approved immersion IT diploma programs), Angie, as Manager of Education Services, lead instructors to deliver excellence in the classroom to a diverse population of
adult learners, assisting in their transition to secure related jobs and high placement rates.
At The Society of Management Accountants of Ontario during a strategic
transition time of changing entry requirements to the CMA program, Angie
provided coaching, career management and employment services to members in
career transition. Concurrently she held
the role of HR Manager, providing generalist HR guidance, training and support
to the Ontario Association.
Skilled in recruitment through a bilingual employment agency, The
Adelaide Group, Angie provided solutions in Administration, IT, Sales and Management and demonstrated her entrepreneurial initiative,
initiating the opportunity to establishing an
impressive client list, building strong relationship with candidates and
clients, ensuring quality
matches of candidates to job vacancies.
Her experiences also include working in retail, transportation and hospitality services.
Ms. Bjornson has a degree in Psychology and Business from Wilfrid Laurier University, an Adult Education diploma from George Brown College and a Human Resources designation (CHRP). Angie has completed her studies in the Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) and integrates many of these tools in her work.
